4 Years In NPCC

Hey Everyone!!

I guess it's time to say all these. I wanted to say this after POP but due to some problems it has been in my phone for very long so here it is!!

It has been 4 years. 4 years of serving this unit, of being in this wonderful family. 4 years is equivelant to 1/4 of my life. Some may say that 4 years is not so long but its actually makes up majority of your life because for this period of time, your mindset changes and you go through much that makes you think more of an adult. Honestly, I do not remember the times when i was a little kid. I can only see photos of it or memories from my elder relatives. These 4 years can be rewinded as a memory that only i or we can talk about.

3 years ago, I came in just like when each and everyone of us came in when we were sec 1. All so new to this and that. Although NPCC was my second choice of CCA, I thought to myself that i had to go through it. I did not know at that time that this was the CCA or Family that i would grow up into or with. I learnt to love this unit eventhough my squad went throught tough times or so you say s***.

If i could remember well, during the 1st few trainings i did not think i could remember anyone's name. I could not even pronounce Ming Chuan's name properly. I kept calling him Ming Chu-an,(emphasises on the AN). I did not even know that our squad had twins as we were quite a big squad then. Everyone will think that i am the kind of person to make friends 1st but let me tell you that you are wrong. I do not dare to start talking to people 1st. So either people come and talk to me or i happen to be in surrounded by people talking that requires me to say something. By the end of the year, I learnt the ALMOST everything is ONR FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE!!

2nd year, sec 2 was abit okay. I guess this is the time of the year where you really make new friends and create new memories. This is the year whereby i do not really enjoy celebrating speech day.HAHA. On that day, my grandfather was admitted to the hospital and i also met up with "some" personal issues. Still like every sec 2 cadet, i went through NPAP, ATC, Mock Classification Shoot and ALOT of Road Marshalling duties. This was also the start of where squadmates get together and BOND! I guess everysquad faces this problem, we get to find out each others true colours(sort of). People do not like you, you do not like some people quarrells and maybe hatred to those that had given up on this family. With that you naturally tend to either change for the better, ignore all of those things or remain as you were.

We have come up to the best year of everyone's NPCC life!! SEC 3!! When you are sec 3, you get to bond with your juniors and seniors. By taking over the unit when the sec 4s step down you plan trainings for the juniors and you naturally bond with them also, when you are troubled, you seek the senior's help. At this stage, you get to find out who are your real friends. I know i did. People who were not meant to be left and honestly till now i do not care where or how they could even survive without the support of this family. That year, we had a small conflict with the seniors. Good this is, It ended well. For all that should know that NCO Camp is the WORST and BEST camp that i have ever experienced. It is also the s***test cam ever but nine of us perservered. I rememeber very well that we had to do alot of things by ourselves and during the 4Day camp, i started to hate almost all the CIs, HAHA. Still i went home and realised that they are doing this FOR US, NOT FOR THEMSELVES. Hence, I went back to LOVING THEM AGAIN!! We decide, we learn and we BOND. For Neons, you guys had so much time to prepare for the campfire for Mass Camp(GO KITKAT!) but we only got less than 24 hours. The good thing was we were happy with what we can achieve on that day even though it was said to be horrible. Think about it. Within 24 hours, how would anyone throw something so specatacular which was as good as a monthly prepared camfire. Who could beat that?? I was soo Happy that i became the Head of Training. I think it was my 1st choice. HAHA. I also became the secretary. YAY!! My Squad Changed the Unit history. Daniel was the 1st MALE Chairman in the few years. Past batches would go the the prata shop for dinner after training but for us, we went to Macdonalds to eat.

When we 1st took over, we played, we tease each other on our post and created lame things like the posting clap. LOL to that. We bonded alot throughout the weeks. I survived STC, NDP and the Hainan Parade last year. Good thing to look out for is that you get LESS ROAD MARSHALLING DUTY!! I feel that we have bonded so much that i do not think that i have regarded them as my squadmate. They are like my Brothers, Sisters, Husband, Wife, Children, Cousins, Auntie, Uncle or simply good friends and i guess i feel the same way for anyone who is apart of this family. Our meeting every tuesday would be AWESOME or boring since only most of the work were done by us girls and sometimes Nicholas. Usually, when you get your post you do what you are supposed to do. Yet, for my squad, it will be totally different. We would all sit together after school and talk about each other's squad that we were taking. We plan almost everything together. Well that is before the boys go out to play or study. Of course it's in human nature to have arguments. We argue because we do not agree or because Melvin was abit negative like this or that do not want or we argue because Nicholas did not really use his brain, HAHA. As a squad, we do not eventually stay mad at each other.

This year, abit stressful i guess. We had to plan and juggle so many things. Who will not explode?? January 28, 7.18am we decided to call ourselves MABEF. For all those that do not know what it means, it stands for Marvellous And Best Exciting Friends. We went through HRC which was so AWESOME!! Even though it tests you on your fears. AHHH..Speech Day, Was a better journey and i have changed my perspective of it. I obviously can not keep the bad past and bring it to the future, I have to live it to have FUN! HAHA. MABEF has changed me to be a much better person. They have always been there for me. Though we sometimes fight or quarrel with each other, we look back and laugh about it.

In my opinion, i think this unit has yet to prove itself to others. I can see the passion and the sexy energy that is coming from everyone. You may say that i am wrong , then think about WHY you even bothered to come for any NPCC events?? Is it because you have to or is it because it is a normal thing to do or perhaps it has been a routine. To me the best answer would be because of passion. Sometimes, you have to look at that sexy body of yours to figure out what is wrong ,what is right and what is going on. This unit has been the water that i need to grow and blossom. I have seen people cry, smile, laugh,get punished or angry in this unit. Being able to see everyone's emotions every past trainings is so AWESOME because it shows how great everyone is. All the memories i have had with each and everyone of you were worth every second. On 22nd July or so to my point of view on the 6th August was the day the MABEF leave the unit. On 22nd July, was the day where you last saw us wearing our Full-Uniform. When i come back for a visit during any of the events, no matter parades, trainings, games day or camps, i want to see everyone happy and proud to be in this wonderful, AWESOME unit. Let me assure you that you have not made the wrong choice. Show to others that this unit is not to be messed with. Why am i saying all this when you can see me every other day in school?? It is not like i am about to die or anything. I believe that we are here now, spending time with this unit, the memories and emotions that we share are totally different from when we see each other in school. I do not reckon that any of you would want to find me to just talk right except for some of you.

Rememeber that MABEF was and IS always part of this family. Thank You to all that have been there for me. Do continue to work hard , stay strong and always remeber that whatever you do, you are always sexy.HAHA. This is the BEST UNIT i had ever served. I hope that we can maintain or IMPROVE when I come back as FOY next year:)

sorry for the late HRC photos..

on the 12 of February 2011,the sec 4s and Sec5 went for HRC at Camp Resillence At Pulau Ubin.

HRC stands for High Rope Challenge.Every 1 has to go through it.To me it was a very fun journey.It may be the last time i go through an event like this with my squad Mabef.Even though i didnt not try alot of things i think i did well,slowly overcoming my fear of heights and darkness.There was a station whereby 2 people have to try to carry themselve up many vertical poles.A squadmate of mine, Syafiq, could not get up or could not climb up the horizontal pole.The sir asked him if he wanted to stop but he insisted to carry on.I just saw him having the determination to carry on. That made me reflect alot. At the end of the day, we learnt how to belay properly,most of us had fun, faced our fears and we took alot of photos.We Went back tired but satisfied with what we had done.

on the 22nd of November to the 28 November, I went to Hong Kong and Macau.It was and Overseas Educational Visit together with different types of NPCC cadets from other areas.Together forming as 1. At 1st i only knew a few people as they were from the same area or they were from ndp. I was close to only 1 of my friend and from there we made knew friends.Was not easy at 1st but slowly we began talking to the others and made knew friends.When we arrived at Hong Kong, we went to a popular Chinese Seafood Restaurant and had our dinner.Honestly speaking, as a muslim,it is really hard to find food in these kind of countries,so we were given the Vegetarian mealor dinner,while the non-muslim had much more delicious food.Overall for dinner,i got to know more of the other muslim cadets.It was also my 1st time eating Fresh Vegatables.After dinner we went to the Avenue of Stars.It is like and avenue where all popular Hong Kong Artise have their hand and leg Cemented Print on the ground.It is someting similar to the one you see on TV at Hollywood.

We spent most of our Day 2 in our Full-Uniform,In singapore where the weather and temperature ins hot and high,respectively,we tend to perspire,but during my trip to Hong Kong, we did not perspire at all.We visited many police places,such as the Hong Kong Police HeadQuarters where we met the Junior Police Call(JPC).We also visited the Central Police Station after Lunch and the Police College.I found out that the JPC are not similar to us.JPC are for age 15-25.We do not have alot in common but yet we could still talked about uniformed groups.They are really friendly people.They approach us before we approach them and they can speak english very well and are also keen to learn our culture. After the visits, we were told to change and we went for a barbeque hosted by the JPC cadets.The food was really delicious. We had alot of fun.We also taught them how to sing peace by the river.I had a really great time.

We also spent our whole day in Full-uniform for our 3rd day in Hong Kong.Visited the Police Dog Unit.Which was surprizingyl bigger than ours.Still they way the Dog Unit works is similar to us.The Dogs were really putting on a good show and were really disiplined.After that,we went to the Police Marine Port Base.Took alot of photos. We took a ride on the Marine Police Ship to an Island.On the Island. we had a short hike or walk up a steep slope just to visit the JPC Club House.The walk was really worth. We were up there, met other JPC cadets played games.Was fun yet tiring.We walked down, some of us bought souverniers. We left the Islanf by ferry and took the coach back to the hotel.Had alot of fun there.

The most fun day!! We spent our 4th day in our casual wear!!We visited alot of tourism sites, such as the Repluse Bay. The Beach was a really wonderful sight.Clearwater,Clean Clear White Sandy Beach.We went to Ladies Street or also known a Ladies Market.It is a place where alot of things are sold ta very cheap price.We can even bargain the price down. Obviously,a girl will buy alot of things during shopping.Hence i spent majority of my money there.After the shopping we went to visit a Wax Museum.It was on top of a hill.We took a Tram there.I am afraid of heights,so i was holing tightly to the bar infront of me and the ma'am hand standing next to me.The ma'am next to me tried to calm me down the whole time.I felt relieved when we reached the top.We walked to the Wax Museum an took alot of photos..There were really alot of Popular Waxed Artise.Even Mr Micheal Jackson,Bruce Lee, and many more that has topped the charts.I even saw Mr Lee Kuan Yew. We ended the day with a breathtaking sight of the whole city. We were standing a the peak.I could not resist being 'WOW'ed by the sight though i am still afraid to look down.

For our 5th day,we ha to wake up early to catch the ferry to Macau.Had Breakfast in the bus.Before we left for Macau,Some of the JPC cadets were there to say farewell to us.It was really touching.As my Whole Family did not really get to sent me off as they were busy. The ferry ride was really shaky.But i slept the seasickness off.When we reached Macau, the ferry terminal,i notice is a really busy place.There were alot of tourisist and some Macau-HongKong Locals. From the terminal,We went to visit the Ruins of St Paul and went for a buffet lunch..After the wonderful lunch, we went on to visit the Macau Police Department and the Macau Fire Service Museum.We got to see how the firemen slide down the pole.It was really cool and they did it really fast.Had our dinner. After our dinner,we went to the Macau Flying Eagle Headquarters.We did 'Peace like a River' as a performance.We was invited to watch the Annual Caremony to welcome new cadets into their organisation. After that,we went to book in to the Macau Flying Eagle Training Centre.Whn we got there,there were already Cadets welcoming us.Sadly,we were not able to have a shot chat with them as they needed the good night rest for an early trainng the next day.

On the 6th day,We awoke with sounds from the Flying Eagle Cadets doing Foot Drills in the morning.Honestly speaking, the way they march are very different from ours.Intead of laughing,i actually realised that different country and different people have different way of doing things. I learnt to respect that.We had our breakfast at the Campus,as its called,The food was really delicious.We got to taste bread and egg for the 1st time in 6 days,as most of our meals have been vetetarian meal and sometimes also fish was added.We had a good meal and was of to the Ventian in no time.The place is really huge and most of the shops were branded plus,this was the place where they shot the series of boys over flowers.Sadly i did not buy anything there,though i wanted to.Had a goodwalk.Took alot photos.After the visit to the Venetian and lunch,we went back to the campus and interacted with the Cadets there.Surrizingly,the cadets there were of our age, between 14-20.To me it was hard communitcating to them as they only speak cantonese and mandrin.I only know a little bit of mandrin,so i had some of my groupmates to help me translate to them i m talking about.Though their english is not that good we still do understand each other by reading each other's body language and how we present ourself to each other.During the night,we had Barbeque.we ate alot and talked alot.We also found out that it was one of the Flying Eagle Cadet's birthday on that day.We had alot of fun knowing each other's culture and what we do during NPCC.

The last day was really touching as we had bonding games early in the moring hosted by the Trainers there.Breakfast was different yet still delicious.Before we left for the ferry terminal,we had our debrief.The same thing happened. The Flying Eagles Cadets were there to wish us farewell.It was really touching.

So far during this Overseas Educational Trip,
i have learnt to respect one another,Listen well to instructions,Learnt that there are more to what there is when judging someone or something.
This trip is a wonderful and meaningful trip for me,Even though it was my second time in Hong Kong,there are still much more that i do not know about it.
To next year's badge of Cadets,Do go for this trip,it is really meaningful and you will have alot of fun there.

Last Friday, 3rd September 2010, CPL Nicholas went for Inter-Area Project Based Competition 2010 (IPAB). They were given months to complete their project. Though we were not there to support him and his other teammates our Area was able to get the 3rd place. Congratulations to our Area!! GO AREA 5!

Last Saturday, 4th September 2010, CPL Daniel, Kenji and Ros Shazwani went for Maris Stella High School Inter-Unit Air Pistol Competition 2010. We went in there not expecting to win but to do our best and have fun. We also met some old friends from other schools and from different areas. We gave it our all but we didnt win. High rope Challenge will be this Saturday for all secondary 4 and 5 cadets.... please do bring a water bottle along

Time: 7am-5.30pm
venue: NPCC campsite
Attire: PT-kit
** please make sure you go for this event as attendance will be mark

SEC 4s ! For those of you who ordered th NCO tee , please pass th money to me by either this friday (23/4) or latest (26/4) . Needa pay th supplier th money . He had kindly agreed for us to collect th shirts from him first , then we'll pay him th money a few days later . Th shirt costs $19.50 per shirt.

WOW this is our 60th post and it is still going well... Hope that the next batch of NCOs will maintain this blog?! if not !@#%^&*

Anyway our school had just end the 100th years celebration last Saturday. Although the parade for this year was a bit short.... But we could wear our 1st uniform, that is the main key right?

Just took some pictures and hope that the pictures wouldn't be our similar faces again....

BOYS TEAM!!!

ALL THE WAY MAN boys' team...
believe that everyone is very proud of themselves for the campcraft competition..
after all the hard work everyone has put in!it's finally over...
THUMBS UP for the BOYS!!

it's the girls team turn next week..
trust that the girls team can do as well as the guys, or even better yeah..
all the best girls..
its common test week...so its gonna be a tough tough week for everyone too!

Location: Pierce Secondary School*

3 more days and its the guys team competition..
everyone is training really hard including the girls..
everyone has got blisters, cuts here and there.
sun-tanned,muscle cramps...
shed tears...got pissed off...had laughters together too...
just 3 more days for guys..
and 10 more days for girls..
everything would be over alright :D
